Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 21, 2026
The Short Version: We do not collect any data. Period. My Heart Log has no servers, no analytics, and no way to access your information. Your data stays entirely on your device and in your personal iCloud account. If you enable Apple Health integration, data is written to Apple Health on your device — we never access it.
Data Collection
My Heart Log does not collect any data from you. We have no servers, no databases, and no means of receiving information from the app. Everything you enter stays on your device.
Where Your Data Lives
All data you enter into My Heart Log is stored:
- On your device: Your journal entries are stored locally on your iPhone or iPad using Apple's secure data storage.
- In your iCloud (optional): If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account. This sync is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit technology. We never see or access this data.
iCloud Sync
When you enable iCloud sync:
- Your data syncs directly between your devices through your personal iCloud account
- Apple manages this sync using CloudKit
- We have no access to your iCloud data
- You can disable sync at any time in the app settings
For information about how Apple handles iCloud data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Apple Health Integration
My Heart Log offers an optional, opt-in integration with Apple Health:
- Write-only: My Heart Log writes your journal entries (weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse) to Apple Health. It does not read data from Apple Health.
- Per-type control: You choose which data types to sync. You can enable or disable individual types at any time.
- On-device only: Data written to Apple Health is stored on your device and managed by Apple's Health framework. The developer has no access to your Apple Health data.
- Fully reversible: You can disable the integration at any time in Settings, or revoke access in the iOS Health app.
- Third-party access: Other apps you have granted Apple Health access to may be able to read data written by My Heart Log. You can manage which apps have access in the iOS Health app under Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.
Notifications
If you enable reminders, the app uses Apple's local notification system. These notifications are scheduled and managed entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to us or any third party.
No Third-Party Services
My Heart Log does not connect to any external services. There are no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
Data Export
You can export your data as a PDF report at any time through the app. This export is generated locally on your device and is only shared where you choose to send it.
Children's Privacy
My Heart Log is not directed at children under 13. As stated above, we do not collect any data from any users, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this privacy policy, we will post the new version here with an updated date. Significant changes will be communicated through the app.
