Thank you for using My Heart Log! We're here to help you get the most out of your personal health journal.
Go to Settings → iCloud Sync and enable the toggle. Make sure you're signed into iCloud on all devices with the same Apple ID. Your entries will automatically sync between your iPhone and iPad.
Go to Settings → Reminders. You can set separate reminder times for morning (AM) and evening (PM) entries. Make sure to allow notifications when prompted.
Go to Settings → Export. You can generate a PDF report of your entries for any date range and share it via the iOS share sheet (AirDrop, Messages, Mail, Files, and more). If you save a default email recipient in Settings, a Send via Email button appears for one-tap sending.
For an extra layer of privacy, you can agree on a shared password with your recipient — saved in Settings → Email — and toggle "Password Protect PDF" before exporting. The PDF is encrypted on your device, and the password is never included in the email itself. Important: if you or your recipient forgets the password, the file cannot be recovered.
Yes! Go to Settings → Entry Form Customization. You can enable or disable different sections and reorder the fields to match your preferences.
When you enter a value outside your configured range, the app highlights it as a visual reminder. This is for your personal awareness only. Go to Settings → Health Thresholds to adjust these ranges.
Yes. All your data is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, data is stored in your personal iCloud account using Apple's secure CloudKit technology. We never see or access your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Since we don't have access to your data, we cannot recover it directly. However, if you had iCloud sync enabled, your data may be available in your iCloud account. Try signing out and back into iCloud, or check on another device signed into the same Apple ID.
My Heart Log can optionally write your journal entries to Apple Health, so your readings appear alongside data from Apple Watch, smart scales, and other health apps. This is a one-way sync — My Heart Log writes to Apple Health but never reads from it. You can choose which data types to sync (weight, blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and disable the feature at any time. Note: LVAD users cannot sync blood pressure to Apple Health because HealthKit does not have a MAP (Mean Arterial Pressure) type.
No. My Heart Log is a personal journal application for keeping your own records. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult with your healthcare providers for medical decisions.
